Jason finally stepped out of the shadows and towards the other boy. “If you don’t have any plans, why go out at all? Wouldn’t that be waste of time?”
Tim turned to fully face the other, hands raising to rest on his hips. “Haven’t you heard of a night out?” he asked dryly, lips quirking into a stiff smile. “Even a thief needs some air and time to think.”

❝ Oh, so there is someone home. Ahem,
well, sorry for suddenly swinging in, but
I was being chased, you see, and your
window was open—- ❞

❝ I know you’ve been following me
for the past few blocks. If you’re
waiting for me to do something,
I don’t have any plans for tonight. ❞

( Geezus, getting back into the swing of things is proving very difficult. “Sheesh, Tara, get your shit together,” everyone is grumbling. I know, I know, eep–!
Please bear with me through this awkward transition! )

❝ —-oh, err… Hi. ❞
The words are accompanied by a small wince, because
Tim had been hoping to get in and out without having
having to speak to either of the manor’s current younger
residents. As he turned around to address Dick’s greeting,
he awkwardly cleared his throat, ensuring that he kept his
expression neutral; slipping back into the persona he was
forced to wear when around his old family. It was better
than having them suspect of his current nightly activities,
though. They would figure it out eventually, but the timing
wasn’t quite there.
