❝ Wait, so you shoo her off when she sits on your new coat, but you let her sleep right on top of myfavorite sweater? ❞
He gestures pointedly to the cat that’s currently shedding all over said favorite sweater. Tim’s words imply annoyance, but his tone is filled with a certain lightness and hints of laughter–simply due to the ridiculousness of it all.
“——are you just going to stand there and S T A R E ? Or are you going to help a witch out?”
Because she can feel whatever blood is left in her rushing right to her head, and, honestly, she hates being left upside-down.
❝ ——Hmm, I’m not sure yet. ❞
The reply isn’t what the girl wants to hear, and he knows it. But Stray isn’t about to let loose another psycho to cause havoc. He may work in the “gray area” now, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to help criminals escape.
He doesn’t recognize this… “witch." So he can’t properly identify her intentions.
❝ Who tied you up in the first place? I’ll have to compliment them on their handiwork. ❞
( So because my roommate put up her miniature Christmas tree today, I feel justified switching to my Christmas icon. December starts tomorrow anyways, so I’m close enough. )
❝ Alright, it’s time to face the facts: any way this ends up going, I escape with this gem. So you could waste your energy attempting to catch me, or you could let me go and I’ll owe you a favour, ❞ he said with a wink.

“I let you down so badly, you deserve so much better”
“How about you let me be the judge of what I deserve, huh?”
I’ve reblogged this before but suddenly found it again.

❝ You know, because I like you, I’m going to give you a fair warning:
handcuffs don’t really work on me. Unless I let them, of course, but I usually save that for the second date.❞
Stray’s tone didn’t lack an ounce of playfulness, but he was still being completely serious. If Dick tried to cuff him, it would just be a waste of time. (It was a miracle that he even managed to get the words out without needing to stifle a laugh–simply because of who he was talking to.)
Eyes narrowed, said confused redhead had deduced that yes. He had ran into a weirdo, now he just needed to figure out if it was the type of weirdo that might try to off him. Or something else, because from what he’s heard from Dick, you can’t be too sure. With the cat theme going on, he could only guess this guy’s got something to do with Catwoman. It’s just a guess, but he’s pretty sure it wasn’t wrong. Seems like meeting Dick would take a few more moments than he anticipated, if it’s jut chatting; Wally wasn’t looking for a fight.
“Right— and we wouldn’t want that,” he answered a little sarcastically.
“Is that sarcasm I hear?” he gaped, seemingly astounded. Of course, his own tone was filled with the very thing he was feigning to be so offended by. Immediately after the inquiry, Stray’s features quirked into another grin. He could practically see the gears turning in the vigilante’s head–likely trying to figure out what his intentions were.
But Stray didn’t have any maniacal or malicious (heh, alliteration) purposes. He was simply amusing himself.
“If you don’t mind my asking, what brings you to Gotham, hm? It can’t be the scenery.”
